Alumni of the Bard-Smolny Program

According to our alumni, the language skills and cultural understanding acquired during the Bard-Smolny Program were crucial to their later academic and professional success.  Many Bard-Smolny alumni have made Russia and Russian studies part of their professional careers and continued academic studies.  Quite notably, several Bard-Smolny alumni have won Fulbright awards to conduct research or teach in Russia while others have pursued Ph.D.'s in Russian area studies subjects.  Additionally, some alumni have worked for American and Russian businesses or non-governmental organizations.
